New plot details for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day have been revealed, including a time jump in the Tom Holland-starring sequel. As spotted by Screen Rant, Barnes & Noble shared a listing for the upcoming Art Of The Movie book by Jess Harrold, which comes with a plot synopsis for the movie.

It confirms that the Phase Six movie will take place four years after the events of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The synopsis reads: “Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game, keeping New York City safe.

“Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before. In order to take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past.”

Brand New Day is the first of a new trilogy of Spider-Man films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring Holland, who first appeared as the character in 2016 in Captain America: Civil War.

It was confirmed last December that filming for the project had wrapped, with Cretton sharing an emotional message on Instagram.

“I’m so deeply grateful for the people who walked with me through the biggest, most rewarding film I’ve ever been a part of,” he began.
