Patrick Dempsey Reveals He Spoke To Eric Dane 1 Week Before Actor’s Death

    Patrick Dempsey shared fond memories of his “Grey’s Anatomy” co-star Eric Dane, following the actor’s death at the age of 53. Eric’s passing was announced on Thursday,Feb. 19, less than a year after he went public with his ALS diagnosis. A statement released by the “Euphoria” actor’s family noted, “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.” Eric most notably starred as Dr. Mark Sloan on “Grey’s Anatomy” from season 2 to Season 9. His character was one half of the iconic McSteamy and McDreamy duo, alongside Patrick. On Feb. 20, Patrick responded to the tragic news of his late co-star’s death during an appearance on “The Chris Evans Breakfast Show,” and shared what he knew of Eric’s final days.
