Now, its Chart coronation comes after an incredible 35 weeks, finally taking top spot and setting a brand-new record. It beats that previously held by Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud which spent 19 consecutive weeks in the Top 40 before eventually claiming Number 1 in 2014.

It’s a momentous moment for Fender, with the result marking his first-ever Official Number 1 single, beating his previous best secured with Seventeen Going Under, which peaked at Number 3 back in 2021. Olivia simultaneously takes home her second Singles crown, after Man I Need hit the summit last October.
And it’s the “1, 2” for Olivia Dean, as So Easy (To Fall In Love) narrowly misses out on pole position, but claims a new Number 2 peak. Former Number 1 Man I Need also climbs four this week (4).
It’s also a moment of celebration for Zara Larsson, as Lush Life completes its full circle resurgence, equalling its Number 3 peak almost a decade later. Thanks in part to the 2016 trend engulfing social media, and its viral choreography, can the track continue to climb even further up the chart?
Zara’s feature also helps PinkPantheress’s Stateside break new ground after it broke the Top 10 last week (9).
It’s a fourth Top 10 single in less than a year for superstar sombr, whose latest cut Homewrecker jumps a strong seven places (7). See the New York native perform at the BRIT Awards next Saturday, February 28.

West London rapper Central Cee secures an impressive 34th Top 40 with ICEMAN FREESTYLE (37).
And finally, Sean Paul’s (When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me featuring Keyshia Cole re-enters the Top 40, 20 years on from its last appearance, with the song experiencing a sudden spike on social media (38).
