Charlotte Mellington recently made her acting debut in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, a loose film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 gothic novel. The 14-year-old breakout actress not only stars in one of this year’s buzziest films – she plays the younger version of Margot Robbie’s character, Catherine Earnshaw.

In her interview with Variety, Mellington said she was encouraged by Kelly to audition for the role of young Catherine in Wuthering Heights. Mellington, who initially struggled to get an audition, eventually landed the role after sending through self-tapes and headshots.
