There’s always a lot of attention not only on who gets the most nominations, but also those who miss out.

Wicked: For Good has got two nominations, unlike the zero it received at the Oscars, but leading ladies Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have both missed out on the main categories.

There are also four actors who were nominated at the Oscars but haven’t made it to the shortlist at the Baftas.

They are Amy Madigan (Weapons), Delroy Lindo (Sinners), Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent) and Elle Fanning (Sentimental Value) – the latter two weren’t even longlisted.

Brad Pitt’s racing drama F1 picked up three Bafta nominations in technical categories, but failed to repeat its surprise inclusion in the best picture category at the Oscars.

One of the most viral films of last year KPop Demon Hunters is perhaps the most notable omission from the Baftas this year.

The film is the frontrunner for two Oscars – best original song and best animated film – but it is not eligible for a Bafta as it opened straight to Netflix.

Films must have a theatrical run to be considered for a Bafta.
