Here is a look at the notable celebrities who wore Armani to the 2026 BAFTAs.

So Unflattering

I never thought I would type these words, but the Armani Privé Fall 2023 gown felt unexpectedly unflattering on Jenna Coleman. I cannot get past how the underpinnings compete for attention just as much as the overly ornate embellished roses scattered across the tulle. The effect is more distracting than dramatic, and the sheerness only amplifies that issue. I would imagine this is what a virus looks like under a medical microscope.

Archive Elegance Revived

Ellie Bamber wore a vintage Giorgio Armani black tulle gown from the Fall/Winter 1994 archive, entirely embroidered with a floral motif of black sequins and white beading. We love an archival pull that still feels relevant on today’s red carpet. We also love seeing Ellie Bamber in something other than Chanel. This richer red hair colour is glorious on her, it has to be said.

Sequins, The Sequel

Ethan Hawke continued his sequinned tailoring streak in a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure one button peak lapel suit, paired with a cream silk shirt and a jewelled gold bolo tie. I love how he continues to respect the occasion while still injecting personality into his red carpet looks. The subtle sparkle across the tailoring ensured he stood out.

Lady In Cherry Red

Gugu Mbatha-Raw wore a Giorgio Armani Spring 2026 cherry red gown finished with crystal beading. Considering that central slit, I’m not sold on her shoes having an ankle strap.

Bow With Presence

Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas may have stepped out of her comfort zone at the Independent Spirit Awards, but she returned to understated territory in this custom Armani Privé black crêpe satin strapless gown. The oversized bow ensured the look still carried impact, introducing shape and dimension to an otherwise streamlined column.

Minimal, Maybe Too Minimal

Dare I say that Olivia Cooke’s Giorgio Armani Spring 2026 neoprene midnight blue dress felt almost too casual for the night?

Pearls And Fresh Ink

The last time we saw Sheila Atim on the red carpet she was wearing a long sleeve dress. Little did we know it was covering new tattoos, which were fully revealed in this Armani Privé Fall 2024 white silk column gown. The pearl embellished bodice draws the eye upward, and if you are anything like me, those clustered embellishments inevitably bring Miss Sohee to mind. The contrast between the refined gown and her visible ink gives the look an unexpected added edge.
