Great news for the Venn diagram of people who have “That’s So True” stuck in their head and also love Irish actors: On Sunday, Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams made their red-carpet debut at the 2026 BAFTA Awards. At Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London, the couple did not shy away from PDA. Mescal, who was nominated for his supporting role in Hamnet, looped his arm around Abrams’s back, and at one point, she kissed him on the cheek.
Abrams sat next to Mescal during the ceremony, and when Hamnet won the award for Outstanding British Film, he planted a kiss before making his way up to the stage.

The couple have been linked since June 2024, when TMZ first published photos of Mescal stroking Abrams’s cheek at a London restaurant. A few months later, the Daily Mail reported that the duo were “kissing a lot” while strolling through Mayfair. Last year, the couple was caught making out after Abrams’s set at Glastonbury, and Abrams hard launched Mescal on her Instagram with a grainy black-and-white photo. Now, they’re awards-show official, and they might just give Timmy and Kylie a run for their money.
