Winona Ryder joining the cast of Wednesday makes a lot of sense, there’s the Tim Burton connection and she’s worked with Jenna Ortega on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Long wait times between seasons is common (ahem, Stranger Things, Severance, and Euphoria) but I don’t think I will ever get used to waiting years for new episodes.

The Divorced Guy social media vibe is so powerful, even when said Divorce Guy has a girlfriend.

We should not be surprised that Hilary Duff still has gossip in her popstar DNA – she was raised in mid-aughts blog culture. Of course she can tussle. First it was the LA mommy group drama and now she’s being called out for using an autopen to sign copies of her album. And, allegedly, deleting and blocking as the comments roll in. It’s just the right amount of low-stakes chatter, gossip fluff.

Whenever a biopic is cast there’s a debate about whether or not the actor looks the part (like The Beatles conversation happening right now). No one is going to argue that Lily Collins doesn’t look like Audrey Hepburn. She does. If anything, it’s a little too on the nose. This upcoming film will be based on the book Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman (that’s a mouthful) and cover a very specific slice of time.

Other real-life characters include Truman Capote, who has been played by many men, including an Oscar win for Philip Seymour Hoffman. Jesse Tyler Ferguson is playing Truman in an Off-Broadway show as well – I’m curious who they cast in this role.

AI will never replace writers because there’s no way a machine can mimic this stream-of-consciousness meets your-kooky-aunt-on-Facebook style of writing. Only a human mind could do this.
