The 215th and final issue of Star Wars Insider will be getting three variant covers, all celebrating the publication’s 38-year run.
The magazine, which started as The Lucasfilm Fan Club Magazine in 1987 and later debuted with the Insider label in 1994, has been a long-standing part of the Star Wars community. Through its almost-40-year run, the magazine has provided behind-the-scenes exclusives, short story tie-ins, teasers for upcoming projects, and looks back at some of the most beloved Star Wars projects. In addition to the newsstand variant, which is yet to be revealed, Lunar Distribution has three variant covers listed for this final issue.
The first, which retails for $9.99, features vintage artwork of Vader, Luke, Chewbacca, C-3P0 and R2-D2 in front of a sunset-esk gradient.

The next issue, retailing for $19.99, is a foil of Han Solo trapped in carbonite.

The third and final variant features C-3PO holding a white birthday cake with pink candles, standing next to R2-D2. This variant is the fan club foil and has a retail price of $19.99.

Issue #237 will feature an exclusive interview with Kathleen Kennedy, who left her post as Lucasfilm President at the beginning of the year, a preview of the SFX used in the upcoming movie The Mandalorian and Grogu, interviews with Andor editor John Gilroy and Ahsoka Season 2 creature shop artist Neal Scanlan, and “exclusive Star Wars short fiction”.
The final issue of Star Wars Insider drops on May 6th, 2026. Back issues will be available “while supplies last”.
