The year that the couple split, Angelina alleged that there was an incident on a plane where he attacked her and two of their children. Brad has denied the allegations. Reports have subsequently claimed that Brad is essentially estranged from his children.

However, they appear to still be in a legal dispute over the French winery they co-owned, Château Miraval. Jolie has accused him of waging “vindictive war against” her with the lawsuit, which has been ongoing since 2022.

Well, in the credits of Angelina’s new film Couture, Maddox is there as one of the assistant directors. However, according to People, his name is listed as “Maddox Jolie.”

People also noted that when the movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, Maddox was also listed with only the “Jolie” last name in production notes for the film provided to journalists.

Vivienne has also been credited as simply “Vivienne Jolie” in professional projects. Zahara also dropped “Pitt” when previously introducing herself at a college event.

That we know of, one child has made the change legally: Shiloh. Filing on her 18th birthday, Shiloh’s attorney stated that her “independent and significant decision” to drop her dad’s last name came after “painful events.”
