Independent London-based singer-songwriter CHARLS shares a familiar story of frustration on Begging On My Birthday. Tired of begging for her partner’s attention, she’s after “the bare minimum.”

“The overall statement in the song is, if you can’t show up for me on my birthday then we’re pretty much damned for the rest of the year, aren’t we? I love that you can hear some of my favourite indie influences in this song, specifically Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap.”
