Travis Kelce has opened up about his contentment with being in Taylor Swift’s shadow, speaking candidly on a recent episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end addressed the topic after Jason recounted how CBS had introduced him as “Kylie Kelce’s husband” during coverage of the Team USA women’s hockey match on 19 February at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
“You’re the plus one, Jason,” Kelce quipped, evidently familiar with the experience himself.
The NFL star then offered a more sincere reflection on supporting his globally famous fiancée.
“Sometimes being the plus one is the best feeling in the world,” Kelce remarked.
The engaged couple have notably scaled back their public appearances during the opening months of 2026, opting for intimate moments away from the media glare.
Following a period of frequent high-profile outings throughout 2024 and 2025, Swift and Kelce have retreated from the spotlight, preferring quieter pursuits such as watching the Winter Olympics from home.

Travis shared his excitement about the experience on the podcast, describing how he and Swift had tuned in to watch the American men’s hockey team triumph over Canada.
“Me and Tay watched the entire game, man,” he told his brother.
“And it’s just so f***ing epic, man.

“From the first drop of the puck, man, that game was nonstop action and had me at the edge of my seat.”
According to Page Six, the pair are set to exchange vows on Saturday, 13 June 2026.
The reported venue is Ocean House, situated in the bluffs of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, a location that reportedly holds “triple Forbes Five-Star” status for its resort, spa and fine dining restaurant.
Sources indicated to the publication that Swift and Kelce were so determined to secure this particular date and setting that they allegedly compensated another couple who had already booked the venue.
The Rhode Island coastal location appears to hold special significance for the couple, who were willing to go to considerable lengths to claim it for their nuptials.
