Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been “blindsided” by a decision to not allow Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s daughters to go to Royal Ascot this year, sources claimed.

The sisters have supposedly been told they cannot join the Royal Family at the races this year following the fallout around their dad and mum Sarah Ferguson’s relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew and Fergie have consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, have reportedly been left “completely blindsided” by the apparent decision to not have them in the Royal Box at the famous races in June. Andrew was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office, on his 66th birthday, and released under investigation.

Although Andrew and Sarah had their royal titles stripped by King Charles last year, the sisters held onto their princess titles amid the fallout. Despite this, the Queen’s granddaughters are allegedly starting to be slowly iced out of public-facing royal events and occasions.

A source, according to the Daily Mail, claimed: “I’ve spoken to my friend who works at Ascot and they said the girls have been told they can’t be there this year. Beatrice has taken it the hardest. She’s been completely blindsided by all of this.”

Another source allegedly said “Ascot would be out of the question because the royals have been told they can’t have pictures with the girls for the rest of the year.” The sisters have kept a low public profile since their father’s arrest, on February 19, at his home on the private Sandringham Estate.

Eugenie was spotted for the first time, since her dad’s arrest, this week with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The late-Queen’s granddaughter was seen dressed down buying coffee in London’s affluent Notting Hill.

It is believed she was on a Swiss skiing holiday in Gstaad, with her husband and two children, when her father was detained. She has also appeared to pause all publicity for her charity – The Anti-Slavery Collective – in the aftermath of the Epstein Files, with no new posts on it’s social media page.

Princess Beatrice finally broke cover a few days later. The 35-year-old was seen walking in London with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and a group of friends. The princess was wearing a long blue overcoat and a matching scarf as she carried her coffee in a small blue cup.
