HGTV will roll the dice in Las Vegas when it pairs the network’s top stars with celebrities who share a passion for design in a new sizzling season of the blockbuster home renovation competition Rock the Block, premiering Monday, April 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. HGTV’s highest-rated series, which attracted over 16.6 million viewers across linear and streaming to its last run, will return for seven fresh episodes hosted by popular carpenter, craftsman and design expert Ty Pennington (Battle on the Beach) and take the ultimate gamble on four unexpected duos. With the stakes at an all-time high, each team will have just seven weeks and a budget of $275,000 to transform identical cul-de-sac builds boasting one-level living, private courtyards, multi-generational suites and RV garages into luxurious Sin City homes that reflect their signature vision and stunning design style. The lucky team who earns the highest appraised property value will hit the jackpot, winning Rock the Block bragging rights and a street named in their honor.

This season’s celebrity and HGTV star pairings will spotlight real estate expert and contractor Scott McGillivray (Renovation Resort Showdown) with Brooke Hogan, singer, television personality and design firm owner; seasoned design pro Taniya Nayak (Battle on the Beach) with Drew Lachey, member of the GRAMMY® Award-nominated band 98 Degrees, dancer, actor and reality TV star; real estate, home renovation and design dynamo Mina Starsiak Hawk (Good Bones) with Vernon Davis, Super Bowl champion turned actor, producer and author; and former Survivor winner, designer and home renovator Kim Wolfe (Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?) with her close friend Chelsea Meissner, reality TV star and fellow Survivor alum.

“Rock the Block is back, and we’re going all in Vegas style with a bold new lineup of teams,” said host Ty Pennington. “The stakes are higher than ever, and these duos are betting on great design in hopes of hitting the renovation jackpot.”

During the supersized two-hour premiere, the competitors will plan and construct their home’s expansive main bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet which boast nearly 1,000 total square feet. They’ll add Vegas-inspired glam elements like gold leaf wallpaper, Moroccan tiles and marquee lights and incorporate features that will up the appraisal and appeal to potential buyers. Starting in week one, expert judges will tour the finished spaces without the teams, revealing their identities and giving their honest assessments of the overall design, creativity and added value at the end of each episode. Television personality, restaurateur and philanthropist Lisa Vanderpump and her business partner, interior designer Nick Alain, will decide which team created the ideal luxe bedroom retreat.

Throughout the season, the blind judging will continue with more celebrities and HGTV stars, including two-time Rock the Block winner Michel Smith Boyd (Luxe for Less) who will evaluate the look and flow of the foyer, den and great room. Next, designer and renovation expert Page Turner (Love It or List It) will determine which team created the best functionality and style in the kitchen and dining room, followed by the four teams evaluating their competitors’ multi-generational suites that offer full separate living areas attached to the main homes. Later in the season, reality television star, singer and philanthropist Luann de Lesseps will turn a discerning eye to hardworking, practical spaces such as the office, laundry room and RV garage which features an 18-foot ceiling. Super Bowl champion, entrepreneur and real estate investor Danny Amendola will step outside to review the backyards, complete with unique mini plunge pools. Finally, home renovation and real estate powerhouse duo Drew and Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers: Under Pressure) will join Ty to announce the winning team after they assess the completed exteriors and impressive curb appeal.

The winner of Rock the Block also will have a donation made on their behalf to No Kid Hungry to help kids access up to 100,000 meals*. Since Season 1, funds raised by Rock the Block helped kids access up to 600,000 meals*.

The homes are built by Landon Miller Homes based in Las Vegas.
