The giant bucket that dumps water across Kung Fu Training Camp has been restored after nearly a year of being inoperable. The prop is part of the Kung Fu Panda play area in DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida.

Within a year of opening, Kung Fu Training Camp saw several changes and inoperable effects. One of the bamboo towers below the bucket has been missing since at least April of last year, and a construction box sat in its place. Though it’s back, other props have been removed.

Laundry used to hang from this horizontal bamboo structure below the bucket. Fans on top of the towers ostensibly dried the laundry. On the other side of the structure, guests could spray water cannons at the laundry.

Now, the clothes and fan blades are gone, although the bamboo structures are still in place.

For reference, above is a photo of the area from the opening of DreamWorks Land in the summer of 2024.

Kung Fu Training Camp was a reimagining of the Curious George Goes to Town play area and the water bucket was a reused effect.

Meanwhile, the splash pad in Shrek’s Swamp has been paved over. The splash pad was demolished last September, although it had barely been open for a year.
