Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi sent a message of support to Mike Tindall on social media on Wednesday.

The husbands of Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall, respectively, are known to be very close, having been photographed together at Royal Family events, Ascot, Cheltenham, and the Monaco Grand Prix.

Mr Tindall was promoting his gin, Blackeye Gin, alongside pals James Haskell and Alex Payne, who all co-host the podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

Blackeye Gin is the award-winning “unofficial spirit of rugby” founded by Mr Tindall, Mr Haskell and Mr Payne.

The official Blackeye Gin account posted on Instagram: “A brilliant Monday night @fulhamarms with @jameshaskell @mike_tindall12 & @alexpaynetv talking Rugby & Blackeye with the fine people of Fulham.

“Blackeye can be found in over 50 @butcombe owned pubs up and down the country. Raise a glass to the game.”

The Blackeye Gin account tagged Mr Tindall, Mr Payne and Mr Haskell as collaborators on the post.

As Mr Mapelli Mozzi follows Mr Tindall on Instagram, it makes sense that Princess Beatrice’s husband liked the post.

Princess Beatrice’s husband has been very active on social media lately, having shared pictures and videos from Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this week.

This sparked confusion about his whereabouts, as the property developer was also spotted walking through London with Beatrice at the end of February.

The eldest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has mostly kept out of sight since her father’s arrest on February 19.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was taken into custody at his Sandringham residence on the morning of his 66th birthday, with police arresting him on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

He has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and was released following 11 hours in police custody.

King Charles issued a statement on the day of the arrest, pledging the Palace’s cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

Both of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters were reported to be “in a state” following their father’s detainment.

Princess Eugenie, 35, was skiing in Switzerland with her husband and children on the eve of the arrest and emerged publicly in London earlier this week.

The younger sister was seen collecting coffee with husband Jack Brooksbank on February 24 before venturing out alone the following day.

Zara and Mike Tindall have not commented on the scandal concerning Mr Mountbatten-Windsor.

In a November 2025 interview with The Times alongside his podcast co-hosts, Mr Tindall responded with “No comment” when Mr Haskell joked about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor.

Mr Haskell revealed he often makes jokes about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, including a previous remark about the former Duke of York’s alleged behaviour, to which Mr Tindall quickly responded: “I said, ‘No comment!'”
