Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are taking different paths this March.
After being drafted first overall by the Dallas Wings in 2025, Bueckers scored 19.2 points and 5.4 assists as the team’s starting point guard. However, this Wednesday, she joins Team USA in Puerto Rico for the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament.
Meanwhile, Fudd is locked into her senior campaign with the UConn Huskies. She helped lead the college basketball program to a perfect 31-0 record and the top seed in the Big East Tournament at Mohegan Sun. Averaging a career-high 17.9 points per game, Fudd is expected to be a top-three pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.

And the shocking part is that they are dating. Bueckers officially confirmed she is dating Huskies senior guard during a WAG Talk interview at the WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis on July 17. When asked for a girlfriend reveal on the orange carpet, Bueckers smiled and dropped Fudd’s name.
Fudd’s revelation was a bit interesting. She went viral in June 2025 after posting a mirror selfie with a phone case that read “Paige Bueckers’ Girlfriend” in large letters before Bueckers confirmed it. Fudd was recently seen courtside at the Unrivaled semifinals on previous week, supporting Bueckers and her team, Breeze BC.
They have been close friends since meeting at a USA Basketball camp in 2017. Because Fudd is a top prospect and the Dallas Wings hold the No. 1 pick, there is a real chance they could reunite in the WNBA. However, it remains to be seen if they will continue their careers on the same team.
