Patrick Mahomes is currently focusing on his recovery after tearing the ACL in his left knee. The 30-year-old quarterback was injured during the Kansas City Chiefs 16-13 Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The heartbreaking injury ended a difficult season for the Chiefs, who finished 6–11 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
Afterwards, Mahomes had surgery in Dallas on Dec. 15, and he has been in rehab since. While the team originally expected him to return for the 2026 season opener in September, some reports suggest he is recovering faster than expected and may be ready to put on his pads sooner.

While Pat handles the physical grind of an ACL recovery, his wife Brittany has been keeping busy on her own terms. Earlier this week, she shared a new fashion moment on her Instagram Story featuring their five-year-old daughter, Sterling, who was showing her crazy fashion sense with a custom “Sterling” shirt and a sunflower sweater.
Recently, she shared a photo from her friend Laine Sadler’s Instagram Story. The post shows Brittany and a group of friends wearing heart-shaped sunglasses under purple neon lights.
The mom of three captioned the photo “@katevanwyk_ fan club !!!” to celebrate their friend Kate Van Wyk, who got married in Texas this weekend. The group spent the night celebrating the wedding with drinks and dancing.
Brittany and Patrick have three kids — Sterling Skye, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon and Golden Raye. While she is a dedicated mother, she is also an accomplished entrepreneur with several business and fashion ventures. In December 2025, she launched her second official Chiefs-themed apparel line on Amazon.
Plus, she recently collaborated with Abercrombie & Fitch for a high-profile NFL collection that debuted in late 2025. Britany also owns and operates Brittany Lynne Fitness: she maintains active partnerships with major lifestyle brands, including Divi Haircare and the fitness technology company WHOOP.
