Payton Tolle recently had some fun trying to bring a little extra star power to Boston Red Sox games. The youngster sure seems like a kid who just wants to enjoy his life, and who can blame him for that?

Tolle said that he reached out to celebrities in hopes of getting them to attend games, sending direct messages to a number of people. While most of the attempts didn’t end well, one response was hilarious.

“He was actually the first person that I did reach out to, and he responded that night,” Tolle said of Joey Chestnut, per NESN’s Andrew Gould. “So I was like, well this is easy. Let’s see who else we can get. So I DM’ed Stone Cold Steve Austin, Dale Earnhardt Jr.. John Cena was in there. But those guys are just kind of turned off.

“I was shooting my shot. It had zero chance in the first place, but Joey came through, and it hit the spot. It did exactly what it needed to do.”

The hilarious admission showed a different and lighter side of the baseball life. While players are focused on performance and development throughout the season, moments like this show these guys are all human beings just like the rest of us.

Joey Chestnut showing up to a Red Sox game would be absolutely awesome, too.
