Hilary Duff made a splash on late night.

The “Lizzie McGuire” alum, 38, performed her sultry single “Roommates” on “The Tonight Show” Monday night in a white gown designed to look dripping wet.

She styled the draped dress — by London-based label Di Petsa — with Gianvito Rossi translucent slingback pumps ($995).

The look was a nod to the “Roommates” music video, which dropped in January. In the video, Duff sings and dances barefoot through a downpour inside the apartment she shares with her partner, wearing a Ronny Kobo butter-yellow asymmetrical dress ($517)

For “Fallon,” she achieved the drenched effect without a single raindrop. Greek designer Dimitra Petsa’s label is famous for its signature “wet look” pieces, which use a combination of draping and stitching — no actual water required — to create the illusion of soaked fabric clinging to the body.

Petsa told Page Six Style exclusively that the design aims to address society’s “censorship” of women’s natural bodily fluids. “If you cry in public; you have to hide it. If you sweat in public; you have to hide it. If you breastfeed in public; you have to hide it,” she said. “So what I wanted was to create a look that makes you look like you’re wet even though you’re not — to celebrate our wetness.”

The brand has dressed famous fans like the Hadid sisters, Shakira and Lizzo, and each design is sewn entirely by hand, typically taking two to three weeks to create. Duff’s high-slit tank dress was shown on the runway at London Fashion Week just last month as part of Di Petsa’s fall 2026 collection.

Duff started the performance draped across a leather chair on a bedroom-themed set before belting out the track, which she co-wrote with husband Matthew Koma and producer Brian Phillips.

“Roommates” is a standout from “Luck … or Something,” Duff’s first album in over a decade, which arrived Feb. 20. She later described the song as being about “that ache for a wilder, freer time — before the days were swallowed by carpools, budget talks, grocery runs.”

Duff’s “Tonight Show” visit also included a chat with host Jimmy Fallon about her childhood Olsen Twins obsession and a round of “Sip & Sing,” which involved warbling with a mouthful of water.

She’ll hit the road for her Lucky Me world tour this summer — her first arena tour in 20 years.
