Recently, O’Neill revealed that “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” co-host was “adamant” about not taking over the retreat’s responsibility.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has reportedly snubbed Meghan Markle’s Sydney retreat, which will be in April. Besties, the event company of the radio star and her manager, Gemma O’Neill, would organize the three-day event. Earlier, O’Neill had expressed her excitement about hosting the Duchess of Sussex, but was reportedly “nervous” about it.
She told the Daily Mail that she had “almost said no” to the event. “I tried to beg [Henderson] to come and do it, or I tried to beg her to come and, like, take over the event,” O’Neill said. Furthermore, the 51-year-old radio queen was allegedly “adamant” about not listening to her best friend’s pleas. “No, Gemma. You need to do this for yourself. This is meant to be for you,” O’Neill quoted Henderson’s words.
She continued, saying that Henderson understood that she was not willing to host the event. As a “private” person, the manager admitted to being comfortable with being “behind the scenes.” Moreover, when the opportunity to share space with Markle appeared, Henderson reportedly pushed her pal to handle the retreat by herself. “So, you know, I’m going from trying to be private to now it could not be any more front and centre,” O’Neill concluded.
Meanwhile, she announced the luxurious retreat and Markle’s arrival on social media. O’Neill said, “I have admired this woman and what she has endured, how she’s risen above it, and how she has demonstrated that a woman can be pushed down and she can still rise.”
