We are all looking forward to a big summer season at the theaters, and one movie that stars a couple of New Jersey celebrities could be one of summer’s surprise hits.
One of the Garden State stars is a great actor and was once named the sexiest man alive, and the other is a pop star with a ton of hits.
Paul Rudd, one of my favorite actors, plays a washed-up wedding singer in the movie. And he befriends a pop star played by another New Jersey favorite.
One Of New Jersey’s Favorite Singers
The pop star is portrayed by New Jersey native Nick Jonas. The two battle over song lyrics, and this movie sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

The movie is called “Power Ballad,” and it is set for theater release on June 5th. The movie has been in the works since the spring of 2024.
Jonas is no stranger to acting in movies, having had roles in over a half-dozen major movies, and is currently working on more.
Paul Rudd was named “People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive” in 2021 and has a Golden Globe nomination to his credit.
If you are a fan of New Jersey celebrities, this may be a great movie to see to kick off the summer movie season.
