March is underway, and Paramount+ has added another wave of movies to its streaming library. After scanning the full list of new arrivals this month, I’ve picked out the titles that stand out the most.
Streaming platforms like Paramount+ drop a lot of new content every month, which can make deciding what to watch a bit overwhelming. To make things easier, I focused on movies with a 90% or higher score on Rotten Tomatoes. While critic scores aren’t a guarantee you’ll love every film, they’re often a reliable sign of something worth watching.

‘Chinatown’ (1974)

Despite winning just one Academy Award, “Chinatown” is widely regarded as one of the greatest movies of the 1970s and a defining example of neo-noir cinema. The story takes inspiration from the California water wars, early 20th-century disputes over water rights that ultimately enabled Los Angeles to control the Owens Valley’s supply. Considering its lasting influence and reputation, there’s a strong case to be made that “Chinatown” deserved more recognition at the Oscars.
Private detective J.J. “Jake” Gittes (Jack Nicholson) is a Los Angeles investigator who usually works on adultery cases. When a woman hires him to follow her husband, the city’s chief water engineer, Gittes photographs the man with another woman, sparking a public scandal. Soon afterward, the real wife confronts him, and the engineer is found dead. Determined to uncover the truth, Gittes digs deeper and discovers suspicious activity involving the city’s water supply and powerful figures connected to the victim.

The most celebrated collaboration between Matt Damon and Ben Affleck remains their breakthrough movie, “Good Will Hunting.” All it takes is someone mentioning the movie, and I’m instantly tempted to rewatch the unforgettable bar scene. Written by Damon and Affleck, the Oscar-winning drama launched both actors into stardom and introduced audiences to a real-life friendship that has endured ever since. It also features one of Robin Williams’ most powerful performances and stands as one of the most critically acclaimed films of the 1990s.
Will Hunting (Damon) is a janitor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who secretly has extraordinary mathematical talent. After he anonymously solves a complex problem left on a hallway chalkboard by Professor Gerald Lambeau (Stellan Skarsgård), the professor discovers his ability. When Will is arrested following a violent incident, Lambeau arranges a deal with the court requiring him to study mathematics and attend therapy. Paired with psychologist Sean Maguire (Williams), Will initially resists the sessions. As he spends time with Sean, he begins confronting choices about his future.

Friendships can be wonderful, but they can also become unbalanced before you even realize it. “The Banshees of Inisherin” should have taken home Best Picture in 2023. The movie is gorgeously shot and hauntingly beautiful, filled with several unforgettable moments. Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson are perfectly matched, giving writer-director Martin McDonagh the ideal duo to bring his story to life. It shifts fluidly between comedy and tragedy, realism and fable, creating a story that feels both deeply rooted in its moment and completely timeless.

“The Banshees of Inisherin” is set in 1923 on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland and follows longtime friends Pádraic (Farrell) and Colm (Gleeson). One afternoon, Colm suddenly tells Pádraic that he no longer wants to be friends, leaving him confused and determined to repair the relationship. As Pádraic refuses to accept the situation, tensions on the quiet island intensify and the conflict between the two men escalates in increasingly shocking ways.

‘Supercop’ (1992)

Sometimes you can’t go wrong with a classic action movie, especially one starring Jackie Chan. Even with the added elements, “Supercop” still carries all the signature hallmarks of a Chan movie: jaw-dropping stunts, practical effects, and plenty of humor to balance the tension. By the second half, the movie explodes into a full-blown spectacle of fights, explosions, spinning kicks, punches, and death-defying action that practically takes your breath away. It’s a blast, to say the least.
“Supercop” follows Hong Kong police Inspector Chan Ka‑Kui (Chan), who is chosen for a dangerous undercover mission to infiltrate a powerful drug cartel. To gain access to the gang, he orchestrates the escape of Panther, a cartel member, from a Chinese prison and travels with him to Hong Kong. With the help of fellow undercover officer Inspector Jessica Yang (Michelle Yeoh), Chan earns the trust of the syndicate’s leader. However, his cover is jeopardized when his girlfriend inadvertently reveals his identity, forcing Chan and Yang to confront the cartel’s forces as their operation unravels.

‘Spy Kids’ (2001)

Fans of the original can revisit their childhood now that the beloved 2001 action-comedy “Spy Kids” has arrived on the streaming service. The movie obviously remains a lot of fun, and even though some of its effects show their age after 20 years, it’s still an entertaining family action movie for viewers of nearly any age. Plus, you can stream its two direct sequels on Paramount+ as well, making it perfect for a full marathon this weekend.
“Spy Kids” follows Carmen (Alexa Pena Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara), siblings who believe their parents lead ordinary lives until they discover Gregorio (Antonio Banderas) and Ingrid (Carla Gugino) are actually retired international spies. When their former colleagues begin disappearing and their parents are kidnapped by the villainous Fegan Floop and his henchman Minion, Carmen and Juni take matters into their own hands. Armed with high‑tech spy gadgets and outlandish vehicles, the kids embark on a globe‑spanning adventure to rescue their parents and confront Floop’s plan.
