The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was given an added scene in the upcoming Street Fighter movie due to his good working relationship with director Kitao Sakurai. The announcement was made recently, with Rhodes playing Guile in the film.

The movie, set for theatrical release on October 16th, 2026, also features several other wrestlers. The movie is set in Hollywood and was previewed with a trailer at the Game Awards.

In an interview with Complex Graps, Cody Rhodes said:

I hope people really enjoy Guile. I don’t want to give too much away, Capcom Cup is happening right now, for example.

“I don’t want anyone who loves this game to take something I said and think… I want them just to watch what Kitao Sakurai has put together with this movie. Man, he gave me an added scene, just because we were having such a good time.
