King Charles Sits Front Row at Fashion Week Hours After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Arrest
King Charles III didn’t pass up a chance to get on the ones and twos.
Indeed, the British monarch stepped into the DJ booth during his visit to Aviva Studios in Manchester, England, during a March 16 event in support of his King’s Trust charity.
During his visit, the 77-year-old got a lesson in DJ’ing from a young member of the organization—which focuses on helping youth from underserved communities find creative outlets and obtain skills to enter the workforce—Christian St. Louis and put his skills to the test.
Charles was photographed alongside Christian as he smiled while moving the controls on the turntable. In another photo, the king appeared focused as he learned how to properly work the dials.
Following the royal’s visit, Christian shared his “wicked” experience with the king.
“I showed him how to put the fade up and stop one track and fade the second one in,” the 22-year-old told People in an interview published March 16. “I got genuine energy from him; he didn’t seem like he was being forced to be here. He seemed like he wanted to be here and was pretty involved with the people who are here.”
