It should come as no surprise that the 2026 Oscars—otherwise known as the biggest night in Hollywood—delivered the most jaw-dropping looks we’ve seen this award season. The film industry’s buzziest stars gathered at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the 98th Academy Awards, decked to the nines in designer duds so fantastical, glamorous, and modern, they practically jumped off the screen.
Lead actress nominees Emma Stone, Jessie Buckley, and Rose Byrne delivered plenty of razzle-dazzle in gowns that featured showstopping details like intricate beading, shiny silks, and dark florals. Teyana Taylor and Amy Madigan have vied all season for the Best Supporting Actress trophy, and they also went toe to toe for the best dressed crown in a feathered Chanel gown and Dior jacket heavily embellished with petal-like embroidery, respectively.
Also in Chanel was presenter Nicole Kidman brought her usual ethereal elegance, ravishing in a custom gown which had a cinched peplum waistline that emphasized the screen legend’s statuesque physique. Oscar winner-turned-presenter and fashion darling Anne Hathaway looked haute in a fitted black mermaid gown that was covered in cherry blossoms, which she paired with a wide statement belt and opera-length gloves. Not to be outdone by the ladies, Hollywood heartthrobs Michael B. Jordan, Pedro Pascal, and Hudson Williams looked dapper as can be in their bespoke suits and tricked-out tuxedos.

Her long black and white chiffon dress was entirely embroidered with glass pearls and crystals, and adorned with feathers. The Matthieu Blazy design gorgeously referenced Grace Kelly’s famous 1956 Oscars gown. Chanel fine jewelry added sparkle to her colorful look.
