Zendaya has neither confirmed nor denied that she and fiancé Tom Holland have officially tied the knot, but the actress has seen the viral fake AI photos of her and Holland getting married—and revealed that people have been duped by the images.

Fresh off her surprise Oscar appearance, the actress appeared on the March 16 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and was asked about the media frenzy around her and Holland’s relationship status. “I’m sure you know the internet has gone berserk with stories that you might actually be married to Tom,” Kimmel said.

“Really? I haven’t seen any of that,” The Drama actress responded, laughing as the audience clapped for her. Kimmel then moved the conversation to the fake AI wedding photos of Zendaya and Holland, and the star revealed that people were legitimately tricked by the images.

“Many people have been fooled by them. While I was, like, just out and about in real life, and people were like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI,’” she said.

The photos, shared by digital artist Juan Regueira Rodríguez, featured Zendaya in hyper-realistic bridal attire and Holland in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie. They depicted the couple exchanging vows and posing together in front of a backdrop complete with picturesque mountains and lakes.

The artist did confirm in the caption that “the images have been created with AI” and that “they are not real photographs,” but the post still went viral and amassed over 11 million likes. Regueira Rodríguez later deleted it.
