The Heads of Delegation Meeting for the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna today.

The Heads of Delegations of almost all35 participating broadcasters will be in Vienna for a day of meetings as they receive an update from host broadcaster ORF regarding preparations for the contest in May. In recent years, this day has been used to announce the first details of the show, including interval acts. In addition, the host country will draw their position in the Grand Final at random.

As was the case in 2025, the Heads of Delegation meeting is being held a week after the formal deadline for broadcasters to have submitted their songs, staging plans and details for the Eurovision Song Contest. This enables the host broadcaster and team more time to assess plans and have more in-depth and structured conversations regarding their plans for the contest.
