Brand new day, brand new trailer record. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has easily become the biggest trailer of all time in 24 hours, according to Sony. The studio says the trailer reached 718.6 million views since launching on Wednesday, citing the market research firm WaveMetrix.
It took just eight hours to top Deadpool & Wolverine‘s 365 million views from two years ago. (That number also included the 100-plus million who watched the Super Bowl on TV.) For comparison’s sake, the first trailer for 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home reached 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours. It went on to become the highest grossing film in Sony history with $1.9 billion globally. Avengers: Doomsday‘s recent quartet of trailers topped 1 billion combined views, though that was cumulative over time, not just 24 hours.
