Celebrity Big Brother winner Paddy Doherty asked his fans for their prayers for his wife as he revealed she is in hospital battling an illness.
The reality TV star took to his social media to share an update with his followers as he confirmed that Roseanne is battling pneumonia. Paddy, 67, was seen walking around the medical ward in a video he shared to TikTok where he asked his followers to keep them in their thoughts while describing what was going on.
Paddy – who beat Kerry Katona to win CBB back in 2011 at the peak of his popularity due to his role on reality series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding – appeared visibly upset in the footage as he confirmed that hospital staff were “putting drips on her.”

He said: “But thank god, because she couldn’t be in a better place than a hospital. She’s getting attention, she’s getting looked after.” Paddy also called the hospital treating Roseanne “the greatest place in the world ” as he was subsequently seen talking with fans who had spotted him in the car park.
Paddy concluded the video with well wishes to those watching as he added: “Be lucky, be safe and god bless you all.” In the caption to the upload he asked fans to help support them through the difficult time with “Prayers for my wife”. His legions of loyal followers then rushed to the comments section to show their support for Paddy and Roseanne through the ordeal. One wrote: ”I have it Paddy very hard to shake but god bless your beautiful wife.”
A second said: “Prayers for your Wife Paddy. Get well soon Roseanne.” A third commented: “Get well soon Roseanne x.” Paddy and Roseanne have been married for almost 50 years, having tied the knot back in 1977. The bare knuckle fighter and his wife now live in North Wales on a traveller site.
Roseanne’s medical woes follows Paddy’s own health battle after he was previously diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019. At the time the personality – who became a household name thanks to his numerous stints on TV shows – opened up about his condition and how he struggled to cope with it.
He said: “I’ve been to hell and back with this and it’s worse than getting a horrendous beating. The pain got so bad that I actually thought about taking my own life on two occasions. But I just couldn’t do that to my family – and instead I just drank myself into oblivion.
“And it was my wife who suggested I should speak out about the condition – she said it might encourage other men to get themselves checked out.” He confirmed in October 2019 that he had undergone a six hour surgery and was now cancer free. He said, “The only people who have known about this are my wife, my brothers and sister.”
