Taylor Sheridan’s latest show, The Madison, is not a Yellowstone spin-off, although it was initially billed as one. Led by Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn – a wealthy Manhattanite who relocates to Montana with her two adult daughters after her husband Preston (Kurt Russell) dies in a plane crash – the show premiered on Paramount+ on March 14, and follows the Clyburn women as they navigate grief and new beginnings.

But it is very clear to me now that it is very much its own unique tone in the storytelling of Taylor’s universe,” Christina Alexandra Voros, a long-time collaborator of Sheridan’s and the show’s director and executive producer, told Page Six.While it may not be a part of the Yellowstone universe, the Duttons and the Clyburns share quite a few similarities. In Yellowstone, the rich banker Beth Dutton falls for Rip Wheeler, a ranch hand; here, we see sparks fly between Stacy’s divorced daughter Abby, played by Beau Garrett, and the deputy sheriff Van Davis, played by Ben Schnetzer.

Ben Schnetzer was born in February 1990 to Nancy Snyder and Stephen Schnetzer. His parents were actors who met on the set of the soap opera One Life to Live.
Schnetzer started acting as a teenager, making his debut in the 2007 film Ben’s Plan. At 20 he moved to London to attend drama school and “give acting a proper shot”, he said in a 2013 interview with The New York Times. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, he landed a role in the 2013 film adaptation of The Book Thief.
