I hated this at first but read the article – Colbert isn’t remaking the movies. he’s adapting the early part of Book 1 that Jackson did not adapt. GREAT

This is a tough one. Colbert knows the books and movies more than anyone else, except maybe Peter. He’s arguably the #1 superfan. However, I don’t think he has experience in writing and producing movies, and I don’t know if these six chapters are enough to make not only a movie, but a compelling movie. So I don’t know.
