Rep. Joyce Beatty filed a motion at D.C. District Court on Wednesday asking the judge to issue an order preventing Donald Trump from naming the iconic venue after himself – insisting that Congress intended for there to be no room modification when it named the Kennedy Center after John F. Kennedy.
“Renaming the Kennedy Center for President Trump – without any authorization from Congress – undermines the Center’s raison d’être, and frustrates its purpose as the only memorial to President Kennedy in Washington D.C.” the notion said.
“Congress was particularly sensitive that no other names appear on the Center’s exterior walls, other than the signage designating the institution as a memorial for President Kennedy,” continued the motion.

Someone point out the namesake is in memorium, which means the person it is named after is dead.

At the very least, hope people in a position to do so are making a list of things to “de-Trump” the MOMENT he’s out of office!
