Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to pump him up!
The former Mr. Universe champion, 78, joined son Joseph Baena in the gym ahead of his 28-year-old son’s first bodybuilding show, and it seems they both had their eyes on the prize.
In Instagram photos shared earlier this week by Baena — whom Schwarzenegger shares with his former household staffer Mildred Patricia “Patty” Baena — he can be seen pumping iron as his father watches on.
“You have to shock the muscles!” Baena captioned the Instagram carousel in quotes, seemingly referring to some advice he received from his father ahead of his highly anticipated bodybuilding debut.
Baena has also been sharing some of his recipes as he counts down to the event, which TMZ Sports reported is happening on Saturday, March 28, at the NPC Natural Colorado State competition.

In the comments section of Baena’s post, some of his followers pointed out how closely he resembles the former governor of California.
“Honestly out of all your siblings you resemble your father the most,” one person wrote, while another said: “He must feel like he stepped into a time machine. Crazy how similar you both look.”
The Terminator star — who also shares daughters Katherine and Christina, as well as sons Patrick and Christopher with ex-wife Maria Shriver — notably admitted to conceiving Baena during an extramarital affair with his former staffer while still married to Shriver.
“It was wrong what I did. But I don’t want to make Joseph feel that he is not welcomed in this world — because he is very much welcomed in this world,” Schwarzenegger said in the Netflix docuseries Arnold, per People.

“I love him,” he added, “and he has turned out to be an extraordinary young man.”
Aside from Baena’s new venture into professional bodybuilding, he is also an actor, cook and realtor, according to his Instagram profile.
