Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, recently revealed her dream is to act like her Oscar-winning mom, but it seems to have caused a bit of a reported spat between the parents.
Inside sources revealed to Star Magazine that Martin isn’t exactly thrilled about his model daughter transitioning into the world of acting, instead, but her mom is totally on board!

“He’s extremely protective and worries about what the entertainment industry does to people,” an inside source said to the outlet. “He’s worried about the pressure and excess. It can take people down a very bad path.”
They added, “He’d prefer Apple take things slowly, but Gwyneth is very excited to help her make her dreams come true. Chris is going to have to get on board or be left in the dust!”

For those who don’t know, Paltrow and Martin were together from 2003 to 2016, and during that time, they welcomed two children named Apple, born in 2004, and Moses, born in 2006. But let’s rewind a bit!
They reportedly first met backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2002, but in December 2003, they confirmed they were expecting and got hitched. They eloped in a secret ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif, and were happily married for over a decade.
Paltrow and Martin announced their separation in 2014, when Paltrow uploaded a post on the Goop website titled “Conscious Uncoupling.”
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been,” she said. “We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
