Bimal Oberoi impressed the audience with his performance as Shirani, the leader of Baloch United Force (BUF) and the weapons supplier in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. The actor has been receiving praise from all quarters for his menacing turn in the blockbuster films. Bimal Oberoi talks about Ranveer Singh’s performance
When Bimal was asked about how Ranveer Singh nailed his turn as Hamza onscreen, he revealed, “Subconsciously, he was always Hamza. Chodhta hi nahi tha (character) banda woh (He never got out of character).” He clarified, “Iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki gusse me rehta tha (That doesn’t mean he was angry on the sets).”

Bimal Oberoi on sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh
It was not all work and no play on the sets. Recalling his time on the sets with the actor, he best described him as a “buddy.” He added that although his co-star was much younger, on-set, “He would come across like a senior person.”Discussing their time working together on scenes, he shared, “When we were heading to shoot on the first day, and it was our first scene together, which was very intense. He sat across. We discussed it. We started talking about it: ‘What do you think?’. Slowly, gradually, he took me to that world, and both of us started talking about things.”Oberoi concluded, “Pura dil laga kar woh scene shoot hua tha. Bohot maza aaya unke sath kaam karke (That scene was shot with complete dedication and heart. I had a great time working with him).”
