Back in 2021, every interview actor Andrew Garfield did he kept being asked if he was in the new “Spider-Man: No Way Home” film as rumours had suggested he and Tobey Maguire would return.

The actor denied it repeatedly as he was under orders from Marvel to keep his appearance secret. Then the film came out, and everyone involved celebrated that Garfield was briefly returning to the role in the multiverse film alongside Maguire and current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.

Now, with another new Spider-Man film hitting in July and two “Avengers” multiverse-spanning films coming out in the next two years, he’s still getting the question.

In a new interview with Heart Radio to promote the UK release of “The Magic Faraway Tree,” Garfield joked that he’s always going to be asked that question for the rest of his life:

“I think it’s a question that’s probably going to follow me for the rest of my life, ‘Are you secretly in the new Spider-Man film?’…Until I’m 90 years old, they’re going to be asking me, ‘Are you in the new Spider-Man Volume 512? I’ll be like, ‘I’m literally weeing into a colostomy bag, and I don’t have any’… But also, people can ask me whatever they want; my life is very blessed.”

While some have asked the question, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” appears to be taking a back-to-basics street-level approach, which would forgo any multiverse shenanigans and let Tom Holland’s Spider-Man have an adventure all too himself this time.
