The show’s principal stars – Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry – are set to return.
Around 20 new cast members have been announced including singer Rosalía and media personality Trisha Paytas.
Danielle Deadwyler, Natasha Lyonne, who has starred in Orange is the New Black, and American hustle star Colleen Camp will also join the cast.
Other actors to join include Hostel’s Eli Roth, The Wire’s Kwame Patterson, Ozark’s Madison Thompson, True Blood’s Sam Trammell, The Unit’s Rebecca Pidgeon, and NFL star-turned-actor Matthew Willig.
Storm Reid, who played Zendaya’s on-screen sister, confirmed in 2023 that she would not be returning for the third season.
Austin Abrams and Algee Smith are also not returning, while Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat, left at the end of season two.
Actor Angus Cloud, who played drug dealer Fezco, died aged 25 after season two.
His character’s storyline ended on a major cliff-hanger.
