Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie just can’t outrun his famously taut backside.

In a new four-minute 30-second short film for Verizon, Storrie, directed by his Vanity Fair Oscar party companion Nia DaCosta (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple), is both hunter and hunted in a clever parody of slasher film trailers. Titled “Look Behind You,” the film – or commercial, if you prefer – features the Heated Rivalry actor seemingly alone in a cabin in the woods.

The chills begin when Storrie, just moments after he’s unlocked the cabin door with his cell phone and Verizon’s smart home security system, is preparing his dinner while running lines from a script (“I spent all dinner trying to hate the way you laugh,” he recites with various inflections). In tight blue jeans and equally snug white tank top, Storrie is repeatedly jump-scared by one electronic surprise after another.

First, there’s the blaring heavy metal music from the stereo. Next comes the house alarm. Lights go out, landline phone rings, lights go on. Armed with his kitchen knife, Storrie yells at his unseen tormentor, “I’m not messing around.”

When the front doorknob begins to turn, Storrie gets a text message: “I’m coming for you.” Followed, of course, by, “I’m here.”

Spoiler alert: There’s a logical explanation for everything. It all points to Storrie’s backside, which gets its own close-up, and the phone stuffed in his back pocket. As Storrie realizes he’s been butt-dialing, the text on the screen reads: “The Best Butt. The Best Network. There’s No Escape.”

Storrie himself gets the last word. “Service so good, it’s scary.”
