Tiger Woods Had Pills in His Pocket at Time of DUI Arrest, Police Say | E! News

Tiger Woods had two pills—later confirmed to be the opioid Hydrocodone—on his person at the time of his March 27 DUI arrest, according to a police affidavit viewed by E! News. The update comes after Woods was arrested and charged following a rollover car crash at around 2 p.m. local time. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek shared in a press conference, “Our DUI investigators came to the scene here, and Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment. They did do some in depth roadside tests. And when it was determined, he was placed under arrest and taken to the Martin County Jail.” The collision occurred as the athlete—dad to kids Charlie Woods, 17, and Sam Woods, 18 with ex Elin Nordegren—drove his Land Rover at an accelerated speed on a two-lane road, per Budensiek. As he attempted to overtake a pickup truck, he ended up clipping the other vehicle, resulting in his car being flipped on its side.
