The helicopters flew 50 miles from Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Nashville, then hovered just beyond the edge of Kid Rock’s swimming pool.
U.S. officials told NBC News that a probe has been launched and the bonkers stunt earned the crew a suspension.

I’d like to believe this isn’t just pageantry by the military to appease the noise….but I’m skeptical. Maybe someone with a military background can comment and speak to how seriously this might be taken on base or in leadership.
I’m also wholly amused that KR’s need to post this video on the internet may in fact be the catalyst for response by the military. If discipline is administered to those involved, what a completely irrelevant person to ruin a career over.

This kind of stuff happens ALL THE TIME – not just the military but police, firefighters, and other “services” that rely on taxpayer dollars. Only this time around, it caught traction on social media and got the rightful outrage. Those involved should definitely be punished more severely – if only to become a cautionary tale so this stupidity is minimized – but certain that once the furor dies down, it’ll be slap on the wrist.
