Vó Da Pomba, Brazilian Social Media Star, Dead at 96 After Documenting Alzheimer’s Battle
Brazilian social media star Vó Da Pomba has died at 96 after a battle against Alzheimer’s disease. The star, who’s real name was Amália Theresa da Silva, documented her struggles online alongside her grandson, who helped bring her light-hearted content to life. Da Silva amassed more than 8 million social media followers, and received an outpouring of support in the days leading up to her death.
