Harry called for “brave leadership and a commitment” to building systems where privacy won’t just matter but will be impossible to ignore.
Prince Harry has released a major statement after his father King Charles and Queen Camilla confirmed their US state visit.
King Charles will visit the United States in late April, Buckingham Palace announced Tuesday, despite some calls for the trip to be cancelled or delayed.
The visit will come as the US marks its 250th anniversary of independence and will be followed by an official visit by the king to Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory.
Following this announcement, Prince Harry and Meghan shared major update on their website.
They said this week, Prince Harry was in Washington, D.C., to meet with, learn from, and speak to leading professionals and experts in privacy, AI governance and cybersecurity law at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)’s Global Summit.
He was a keynote speaker alongside leaders across industries.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Harry said: “We can invest in human-centered technology led by human-centered leadership.”
Archie and Lilibet doting father went on saying that humans can be both the problem and the solution to privacy-related digital harms.
“Humans are the architects of this extractive technology and resulting dangers, but as such humans are also in the position to design a better future and world where the right to privacy is not just an ideal, but the norm.”
In his closing remarks, Harry called for “brave leadership and a commitment” to building systems where privacy won’t just matter but will be impossible to ignore.
