The Duke of Sussex spoke about the digital world at a summit at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in Washington DC on Tuesday. The IAPP Global Summit is described as the “world’s largest annual gathering of digital responsibility professionals, attracting top experts in privacy, AI governance and cybersecurity law.”
Just a few hours earlier, Buckingham Palace had announced King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to meet Donald Trump in late April in a State Visit to the US. The palace said that King, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, will travel across the pond next month to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The Duke of Sussex, wearing a blue suit, appeared on stage for the closing general session before participating in a discussion with Joe Jones, the organisation’s director of research and insights.
Although King Charles is set to visit America next month from April 27 to April 30 where his younger son has lived since 2020. A source close to the Duke of Sussex confirmed that the California-based royal will not be travelling to the capital for a reunion in April.
Harry and the King last met in September, when Harry visited the United Kingdom and shared “private tea” at Clarence House with the King.
Despite the absence of a reunion with his father next month, the Duke of Sussex has another international engagement on the horizon.
Harry and Meghan are set to travel to Australia in mid-April for a series of engagements spanning private, business and philanthropic activities.
Though they officially stepped down from their duties in 2020 and moved from the UK to California, the pair are still insistent on keeping up charitable projects
