Gemma Collins shared a life update with her followers – but they were quick to call out the star for trying to prank them due to a key detail

Gemma Collins has shared an announcement to say she has tied the knot with Rami Hawash. The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 45, has been planning her wedding and has been filming a new TV series that will show all the detail.
However, on Wednesday, she took to social media to claim she had already walked down the aisle. Uploading a snap of her in a wedding dress, Gemma said on Instagram: “Hey guys I got married in secret recently it was the most beautiful day with the most beautiful people in a room filled with love.”
She added: “Sadly the stories started to circulate so I have had to share this with you all now is the time.” However, despite Gemma appearing to be happy in the image, a number of followers spotted a clue that it was in fact an April Fool.

“I only know this is April Fools because your dress is too basic for the GC,” wrote on user. They followed up their comment with love heart emojis and a crying with laughter face.
Another user said: “Love ya Gem but you can’t fool me,” while a third remarked: “As an Australian, it looks like I am having to deal with April fools all over again on insta for a second time today.”
Comedian Seann Walsh played along with the joke. He wrote: “It was my pleasure to walk you down the aisle.”
Speaking to Mirror in February, Gemma revealed her wedding day plans, insisting they wouldn’t be as extravagant as her fans might think. She said: “I don’t want a big showbiz wedding. I couldn’t take the pressure on the day.
“You’ve got to remember, outside the GC persona, I’m just Gemma. My wedding will be different from what people would think. I’m not a major planner, I’m a last-minute sort of girl. And that suits me just fine, because so much of my life is planned, and I like to be spontaneous.”
She also revealed her plans to start a family this year. “Well, I’m making a show about this at the minute, where you’re going to see all of that,” she said.
“So tune in. I think it comes out in September or October. You’ll have to wait and see it all unfold there, my loves.”
The star has been planning her big day since last year and fans are in for a real treat, as it’s all set to be documented in her upcoming Sky reality show, Four Weddings And A Baby.
Gemma’s new reality show was first announced last summer and promises an “intimate and emotional” look into her life as she prepares to tie the knot with Rami, 50. And she says she is “winning in life” with her man.
