As Kim Kardashian makes the leap from TV to the big screen, Eva Longoria is eager for fans to see her starring performance.
The Fifth Wheel director praised Kardashian’s performance as “so funny” in the Janine Brito and Paula Pell-written comedy about a group of friends whose Las Vegas trip is crashed by a captivating outsider.
“It’s so much fun. We just wrapped after three months of filming. We ended in Vegas. It was a dream job,” Longoria told People. “First of all, it’s a big, unapologetically R-rated female comedy that feels modern and contemporary.”
In addition to Kardashian, the movie stars Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song, Fortune Feimster, Jack Whitehall, Casey Wilson, Scott MacArthur and Will Ferrell.
“Kim is the anchor of the movie,” explained Longoria. “We just had a blast. Kim and I have been friends for 25 years, and when I got the job, she said, ‘Oh, thank God Eva knows I’m funny.’”
Longoria added, “And she is — she’s so funny. I cannot wait for the world to see how great she is in this movie and hopefully spark more female comedies.”
Kardashian’s big screen moment comes after recently starring in the Ryan Murphy shows All’s Fair and American Horror Story: Delicate. She previously appeared in the 2008 parody Disaster Movie and Tyler Perry’s 2013 film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
