Io9 2025 Spoiler

The Mandalorian and Grogu

According to a character description provided by UK cinema chain Odeon, the film will see Jonny Coyne’s Imperial Warlord character battle Dave Filoni’s cameo pilot Trapper Wolf in a “dogfight to end all dogfights.” The chain has since updated the article to remove the description since it began drawing attention online.

Flesh of the Gods

Deadline reports Wagner Moura (Secret Agent) has replaced Oscar Isaac as the male lead of Flesh of the Gods, an upcoming vampire film from Mandy director, Panos Cosmatos. The story follows Raoul (Moura) and Alex (Kristen Stewart), “a married couple in glittering ’80s Los Angeles who descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence.”

The Blair Witch Project

According to insider Daniel Richtman (via Bloody-Disgusting), Dylan Clark (the upcoming Portrait of God) has been hired to direct a new entry in the Blair Witch franchise for Lionsgate and Blumhouse.

Resident Evil

Speaking with the New York Times, Zach Cregger revealed he fully expects fans of the Resident Evil franchise to “crucify” him if he takes liberties with the game series’ lore in his upcoming movie.

Avatar 4

In a new interview with Screen Rant, Stephen Lang stated James Cameron is “gauging what fans have to say” about the Avatar series moving forward with a fourth movie.

Well, the fans are such a phenomenon. They really, in so many ways, dictate what happens. Interestingly, Jim Cameron has said that for Avatar 4, he’s really gauging what the fans have to say. They’re really participating in things. You probably can’t stop that in any case, but he’s really leaning into it, it seems to me. The more you know about Pandora, the better. And we’re also dealing with a core of fans, worldwide, who actually probably know more about Pandora than I do, at this point, because they really study it. So I just love the idea that we are becoming a world that is being fleshed out picture by picture, added bonus by added bonus, because I grew up loving Tolkien, like everyone else. And to be part of a universe that is in the same ballpark as that, I think that’s just fantastic. So it’s all these special bonus features that I think are going to be so fascinating to people.

Scary Movie 6

Anna Farris also teased to Variety that her Scary Movie character, Cindy Campbell, enjoys “a degree of revenge” in the latest sequel.

I think we succeeded in really blurring the line and confusing people, especially around Cindy Campbell. That’s what I’m hoping for. Let’s just say that Cindy Campbell gets a degree of revenge, and that felt incredible.
