Jessica Simpson may have found love with a normie. After her dramatic split from Eric Johson in January 2025, TMZ says that she is dating a musician named Thomas Eisenhood.

Eisenhood, who seems to go by “Tom,” is described by the outlet as a roadie in the music business, but based on his Instagram, he’s a super talented saxophone player.
In September 2025, he jumped on stage to play baritone sax with The Band Loula. He’s also gone on tour with Los Straitjackets.
He rarely posts, and is one of the 1623 people whom Simpson follows. He has only 837 followers at the time of this publication.
According to TMZ, they’ve been romantically involved for around 3 months and spend time together in Nashville, where Simpson has a second home.
The singer is still based in Los Angeles after keeping the $17 million Los Angeles mansion that she once lived in with Johnson as a family.
They met through mutual friends in the music industry. While things “quickly turned romantic,” the outlet notes he has not met her kids.
Simpson and Johnson are the parents of daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 13, son Ace Knute, 12, and daughter Birdie Mae, 6.

Following her split from Johnson, Simpson made it clear she was single and ready to mingle. When she was a guest on TODAY with Jenna and Sheinelle in July 2025, Jenna asked Jessica, “Are you interested in dating? Can I set you up with anybody?”
Simpson responded, “I’d totally jump on that. Yes, I’m single, very into like, very … I’m ready!” As for who she was looking to date, Simpson responded, “I just like for somebody to be individual, who they are. And exude confidence without the ego. It’s hard to find, but I feel like it’s out there.”
“I don’t need somebody to be supportive of me all the time. I feel like the independence that I have right now, if I can have that and give it to someone else, that’d be cool,” she continued.
She also revealed her one non-negotiable – “It has to be a very good kisser,” she said. “See, that’s like the most intimate thing. Grab my face and pull me in! Can you tell I need it?”
Considering saxophone players are good with their mouths, Eisenhood may have checked that very important box.
The end of her and Eric
Her dramatic split came with cheating speculation and clues. In January 2025, Jessica told TMZ, “Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage. Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

Fans had also noticed tension on social media. In November 2024, before they announced their separation, Jessica posted a teaser for her comeback as “an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
In August 2025, Simpson opened up about Johnson’s “mistakes” and her decision not to have any resentment towards him. “I choose love because if I chose to be resentful or if I chose to let the pain of it overwhelm me, I would fail,” Simpson told Parade in August.
“And so I had to choose love and loving people through their mistakes. If I’m going to love through my mistakes, I have to love others through their mistakes,” she continued.
