As the royal family proceed with their Easter celebrations at church this weekend, without the likes of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, we’re wondering what stateside plans Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have…
With two children, son Prince Archie, six, and daughter Princess Lilibet, four, it’s no doubt that Easter will be a big deal in their household, and judging by their plans in previous years, the kids are in for a real treat!

In 2021, Harry and Meghan made a very sweet Peter Rabbit-themed Easter egg hunt for their son in the garden of their Californian abode (watch the video above). The Duchess – who was pregnant with Lilibet at the time – was seen in denim shorts setting up the adorable trail. Their enchanting garden with mini bridges and picture-perfect flowerbeds is the ideal backdrop for an egg hunt.
Last year, the former actress shared a clip of her admiring a duck and her ducklings walking in their picturesque grounds. It was the perfect spring-themed video, and she captioned it: “Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!”
Seasonal celebrations
Ever the high-achieving mum, Meghan likes to go all out for every season. Â On Valentine’s Day, for example, her children made decorated bagels with heart-shaped strawberries. Then, to mark St Patrick’s Day, she whipped up green waffles. So, we’re fairly sure Easter will be celebrated with an epic food creation.

Upcoming Australia trip
A spokesperson for the couple revealed that they will be heading Down Under:Â “Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia in mid-April to take part in a number of private, business, and philanthropic engagements. Further details will be shared in due course.”
Meghan is on the list to speak at the Her Best Life retreat, where tickets cost a staggering $2,699 for access to events including a gala dinner, meals, alcohol and two nights at the InterContinental Hotel in Sydney.Â
Speaking on a HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast, our Royal Editor, Emily Nash, revealed that the Sussexes’ visit to Oz is expected to be “largely a business trip”.Â

“The key focus, certainly for Meghan, is appearing at this retreat… Harry’s got a very strong military connection. He spent time serving alongside the Australian Army back in 2015. So there are reasons for him to go, certainly. His Invictus movement is very popular in Australia as well.”
The couple last visited Australia in October 2018, when Meghan was pregnant with their son. They are not expected to be joined by their two children, who could remain stateside with Meghan’s mother Doria or other pre-arranged childcare. Â
