What To Know

The second season of Jury Duty concluded with Anthony Norman’s discovery of the truth.
Anthony’s genuine concern for the employees and his dramatic intervention were exactly what the show’s creators had hoped for from the start.
The cast reflected on Anthony’s shocked reaction to the reveal.

All good things must come to an end, including Jury Duty‘s second season, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.

As with the first season, the cast finally got to drop the guise after the carefully orchestrated story came to its conclusion, proving that Anthony Norman was just as wonderful as he could be, even (and especially) amid the most ridiculous, awkward, and tense situations he was put into. Warning: The following post contains spoilers for the final episodes of Jury Duty Season 2.

The final stretch of the show saw the Triukas group fully exposed for all of their villainous intentions with Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce — despite a valiant effort by the private equity company to win everyone over with a surprise talent show performance by Sia — to Anthony and Doug Jr. (Alex Bonifer). The two overheard the group discussing their plans to downsize the staff and turn the chili farm into a residential area, and it was up to Anthony to race to stop Doug Sr. (Jerry Hauck) from signing the deal with Elizabeth (Wendy Braun).

With bated breath, Anthony pleaded with Doug, insisting he have all the facts about Triukas’ plan before signing on the dotted line. As Elizabeth protested and insisted the deal was done, Anthony respectfully, but firmly, put her in her place. As Anthony noted, as a temp, he had no stake in the matter, whether Rockin’ Grandma’s was sold or not, but he genuinely cared about the employees who would be affected and knew for sure what he’d heard Elizabeth say.

It all went exactly to plan, Doug later revealed, as they’d been hoping Anthony would run in and deliver that plea to him from the first day they arrived at the retreat.

Anthony’s reaction to the news that everything was staged, everyone around him was acting, and that he was the subject of an elaborate, made-for-TV ruse was one of complete shock.

Above, the cast of Jury Duty Season 2 breaks down how he handled it all, how they pulled off Sia’s sing-song cameo, and more.
